Spotting a fake Facebook account

Added by a fake account?

I woke up this morning with a friend request on Facebook from what we highly suspect is a fake account.  The account also only has 27 friends and no mutual friends with myself so there is no particular reason this person should have found or added my account.

The second red flag for us, suggesting the account is a fake account is because it only has one picture that is available on the whole of the profile, after researching into fake social media accounts, this is usually a big pointer towards the account being fake.

If we definitely wanted to confirm whether or not the account was fake I would perhaps do a quick search in a search engine of the name and basic information on the profile.

However I am not convinced at all and therefore I shall be rejecting this friend request.
